Cutest Slug Ever.

My sister in-law, Sarah, made Lincoln this adorable slug for Christmas. He LOVES it, and I have to admit, so do I. It is so dang cute.

There are days when I have to run lots of errands and Lincoln insists on carting his slug with us everywhere. It's awesome.

And because it is so awesome, I asked Sarah where she got the pattern and bought it, too. (If you're interested in getting the pattern, let me know and I'll email the info to you). Now, I've made quite a few of them as baby shower gifts or baby birthday gifts and I'm still going with it because they are so easy and fun to make. I've made a couple of them with Minky (is that how you spell it?) fabric on the bottom and they are so soft and comfy.

Lincoln sleeps with his slug nearly every night. (That's water in the bottle, not milk, by the way, so no hate mail, k?)

Oh, and if you decide to get the pattern, the proceeds go to a charity. I think it's for orphans, if I remember right.

Laundry Day

I went down to the basement to do laundry and after opening the dryer, shoving some clothes in, and walking back to the washer for more wet clothes, I came back to the dryer to see this cute mug.

He actually threw a pretty big fit after I took him out.
Maybe next time I'm down there he'll help me take clothes out.

I Know, I Know. Stop Yelling Already!

I'm back from Blog Failures Anonymous. I haven't posted anything in a long time and I've missed a few birthdays, too.

So quickly, here you go.

Nathan, I love you, happy birthday!! I'm so grateful to have you in my life. You are awesome and you will always be my Samwise.

 Jeremy and Emma
There aren't a lot of times where they get along this well, so we had to take a picture to document the occasion. Jeremy was reading to Emma and both were enjoying it.

Star Bellied Sneetch Brownie Balls!

I finally found a tutorial for making these that is actually helpful! yay!
More Lincoln

Megan's Birthday!!!
This deserves it's own post, but time isn't really something I've got right now. So here ya go.

This is what we did to her door while she slept

The Dish Washer

I can't do anything with the dishwasher without Lincoln getting into it. He loves it.

Smorgasbord of Lincoln

Time has flown. Really. Lincoln is 6 months old already. Seriously, where did my baby go?

He's teething,can you tell?

We've been spending as much time outside as possible. Here is he discovering grass for the first time.

Get this blanket out of my way! I want to see what this green stuff is!

Lincoln is such a joy in our family. Sure, he keeps me awake all night long, but he gives me slobbery, wet kisses every day as he says, "Ba ba ba," so it's okay.  Right now he loves to eat, play with his toes, and roll over (especially during diaper changes).

The other kids are still enamored with him for the most part (Emma being the only one that's feeling a little jealous of the time I spend with him instead of playing Memory with her). His eyes are still a shocking blue and I really hope they stay that way.

Right now he's in my arms, fast asleep and looking like a fat cherub. I love it. Unfortunately, it's nearly midnight, so I better put him in his crib and myself to bed.

Lincoln, thanks for putting up with the craziness in our family. We love you!

Things You'll Learn Before You're One

Lincoln, there are some special things you'll learn in your life.

You'll learn to crawl, then walk.
You'll learn to run and jump.
You'll learn how to play games with your older siblings.
Lincoln, you'll learn to play sports, ride a bike, read good books, and obey your mother.
But first, you're going to learn one very important thing. . . .

More Lincoln Pictures!

I can't get enough of this little boy. Today I left him on the floor after diaper change and went to check on Emma. I heard him start to coo so I grabbed the camera and was lucky enough to get some cute smiley pictures! And like any good mother, I had a hard time narrowing down which ones to post :)

This one is my favorite.

Just had to do some black + whites. For some reason I'm getting into those right now.

Pictures of Mr. President--Lincoln

Here are a few pictures of Lincoln.
We sometimes call him Mr. President.

Grandma has been asking for pictures for days.

I'll put his birth story on here soon.

All Bundled

9 lbs. 6 oz. = big baby (but not my biggest)

Megan and Lincoln
This is how we usually find Emma when she's with Lincoln. Her finger is either in his eyes or in his mouth. In fact I just had to step away from the computer because she had her finger in his mouth and was crying because he bit her.

Baby Lincoln

The video isn't available anymore, sadly. But the gist is that we tried really hard to have Lincoln on 10-10-10 and it didn't happen. He was born about 4.5 hours too late. But Fox News in Cleveland wanted to do a story on us because of our nerdiness for trying to get him born on that particular day. 10-10-10 is binary and equals 42 which, if you've ever read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, is the answer to life, the universe, and everything. While I was in labor with Lincoln I read the entire book and it's pretty dang funny.
