New Quote Monday

Today's quote is from one of my very favorite children's book series. If you haven't read them, you should. A Series of Unfortunate Events is not only hilarious, but it actually helps kids deal with difficult situations (fear, grief, loss) and learn that they can be self sufficient. It also teaches vocabulary in a fun way. The author, Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler), has a sense of humor that I completely appreciate and his writing style is kin to that of Roald Dahl where most of the adults in the story aren't the brightest or most responsible. This quote is from the first book, The Bad Beginning.

"The book was long, and difficult to read, and Klaus became more and more tired as the night wore on. Occasionally his eyes would close. He found himself reading the same sentence over and over. He found himself reading the same sentence over and over. He found himself reading the same sentence over and over." --Lemony Snicket
